Education Advisory Group

The Education Advisory Group is working towards coherent pathways for learners

The group advises the Steering Group on how to ensure that there are multiple, coherent pathways for learners that allow them to:

  • progress into engineering programmes straight from school
  • alter their study with minimal impact on duration and cost
  • up-skill if already in employment

Members of the Education Advisory Group and their colleagues were invited to Alternative Engineering Pathways Professional Forum. Providers discussed key issues related to pathways and entry requirements for the BEngTech and NZDE; shared existing good practice; and explored practical innovations to enhance these for learners. The Forum was organised by Ako Aotearoa and held in Wellington on 24 and 25 November. You can read about the Forum, and the report produced afterwards, in the 'Our Progress' section.
